How to update multiple records at once (mass edit)

If you want to add information to a large group of contacts or organisations - for example assign 80 member councils to a particular district, this is known as MASS edit and can be used in a variety of situations.


  • Make sure the field you want to edit is shown as a column in the list view

  • Use the tick box on the left-hand side to select the record you want included in the group

  • Now go to the column you wish to change the value of and select the value

  • The system will prompt you to confirm you wish to update ALL THE SELECTED RECORDS(eg those you have ticked) with the new value - say OK



1. Mass select all fields

2. Press on the field you want to edit

3. Select new value for the field.

4. Save the records
