If you want to add information to a large group of contacts or organisations - for example assign 80 member councils to a particular district, this is known as MASS edit and can be used in a variety of situations.
Make sure the field you want to edit is shown as a column in the list view
Use the tick box on the left-hand side to select the record you want included in the group
Now go to the column you wish to change the value of and select the value
The system will prompt you to confirm you wish to update ALL THE SELECTED RECORDS(eg those you have ticked) with the new value - say OK
1. Mass select all fields
2. Press on the field you want to edit
3. Select new value for the field.
4. Save the records
