Navigating around the JAMS System (Archiving)

Archiving is a useful tool where a file that is no longer active can be hidden from view but not deleted.  You might want to archive files in the Contacts, Employees and Surveys modules.

Example

To archive a contact

Menu>Contacts

Click on the required contact

Click Action at the centre top of the screen and select Archive

You will receive the prompt “ Are you sure you want to archive this record?”

Click OK

A red banner will appear in the top, right-hand corner of the contact card




You will see when you return to the Contacts list that the archived contact has disappeared.

If you want to reverse this action, before exiting the contact card, click on Action again and click Unarchive


Example

To retrieve archived contacts

Click on Contacts

Click on Filters

Select Archived  (If Archived doesn’t appear in the drop-down list, it will be in the Custom Filters)

All the archived contacts will be shown in a list.  Each contact can be selected and then Unarchived if required by clicking on Action

This list can also be saved to the Dashboard if needed.  Click on Favourites and Add to my Dashboard.  Give the search a name and click Add..  Then refresh the browser and the search will appear on your Dashboard.
