How to use 'Promotions' for discount codes

Turn on the 'Coupons & Promotions' Setting within the Settings area

The key difference between promotions & coupons:

• Promotions you can use multiple times

• Coupons can be used once
  
  

Setting up the Promotiom

To setup a promotion navigate to the 'Sales -> Products -> Promotions' area of the system and create a new promotion

Give the promotion a name

You can setup conditions so that this promotion can only applied to certain customers (individuals) by choosing 'Edit Domain' and filtering on this

You are able to setup start dates, end dates and how many times this promotion can be used

You can either set the promotion to automatically apply based on the above set parameters, or for it to apply when a code is entered

Set the discount percent or fixed amount in the 'Apply Discount' field, and choose how to apply the discount

Using the Promo Code

The promotional code can either be used by the admin/organisation user on the 'Sales Order' for the event

Or it can be used by the Portal User booking the event on the event checkout screen
